As an American teacher, I spent years immersed in classrooms across Vietnam, witnessing the same painful inequalities I later saw in the Philippines. In major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, wealthy families could afford premium English programs with native speakers. But in rural provinces and remote areas, eager students—full of potential—had almost no access to qualified foreign teachers. High costs created barriers, while geographic isolation and under-resourced schools widened the gap.I also navigated the industry's frustrations directly. Hiring foreign teachers in Vietnam was notoriously difficult due to convoluted visa and work permit processes. Frequent changes in authentication requirements for documents added layers of complexity and delays. Teachers often faced forced multiple trips in and out of the country—border runs or exits—to navigate the strict and ever-shifting visa rules and permitting requirements, disrupting lives and deterring many talented educators from committing long-term. These hurdles left schools short-staffed and students underserved.

My extensive teaching background in Vietnam's diverse settings—urban centers to provincial towns—combined with observing these systemic issues up close, gave me clear insight into what needed change.Fueled by this, I founded MegaGlobal English Academy. We transformed English learning by making it motivational through engaging, confidence-building classes that spark joy in communication. We kept it truly affordable, cutting unnecessary costs to reach everyday families. By pioneering flexible online platforms, we connected passionate native teachers with learners nationwide—no visa complications, no location limits, just direct, quality access. Language centers can now meet their teacher needs using our online delivery solutions through a hybrid model, pairing remote native instructors with an on-site teaching assistant to provide seamless, supported learning experiences.
